For me it's fart cannons.

Not only do I own one, every time I go under an overpass I have to rev it up so it drones.

Yes, the world probably hates me, but hey, I pay the excessive noise tickets (I have about 3) and I like it. Worth the price, especially when you're in the parkade.

Kinja'd!!!

Loud exhausts are love, loud exhausts are life.

I approve except it might be hard to know if the speed limit is a certain facial expression.

Good loud exhausts are good. Crappy loud exhausts are not good.

But...the diameter of your fart cannon isn't very big. Also what is illest?

I think there's a difference between a large (appropriately sized for the modifications) muffler and a fart cannon. That being said, I don't think most people know how to make that distinction.

For me, I'd say it's quality parts. Sooo many people buy cheap parts and seem to hate on anyone spending a lot of money on quality parts. They go on about how their stuff will function just the same and you're pay hundreds or thousands more for a name. A year later they're on their 2nd or 3rd set of knock off wheels, 2nd set of cheap brand coilovers, and have a cheap exhaust with cracked welds that's had to be replaced. In the performance world I believe that you absolutely get what you pay for with most parts.

No, I went for subtle looks and louder sound. It's a sort of skate brand, kind of like Vans I think, that has ties with the car community; mainly stance bros

Do you actually have a fartcannon, or just a loud big exhaust? ;)

Fartcannons used to refer to those awful cheap giant exhausts on civics et al which really did sound like a big nonstop fart.

I've seen you say this "I actually wear illest clothes so I'm not a poser for having an illest sticker on my PMY Vauxhall" line before.

I'm not at the forefront of illest sticker criticism, but I'm pretty sure those who object to illest stickers on vehicles are not objecting simply because "I bet that person doesn't even wear illest clothes."

Niiiiice. I could have gone for a big slash cut, 5" inch pipe but so many Corsa boys go for it and it looks a bit goofy on a car as small as mine. It's bigger than it looks in the pic and loads of fun to rev in tunnels! I should record it sometime...

It is a clothing brand for assholes. Apparently.

Therefore, since people who place stickers on their vehicles in an attempt to look cool are assholes, putting a sticker of a clothing brand that makes clothes for assholes on your car, makes you an exponential asshole.

Or so the reasoning goes. I'm told.

Oh absolutely, I was merely suggesting I didn't put the sticker on just for the sake of it. I guess people hate on it because of the stance connection as well? I'm not 100%; I just like the style.

*Cowl hood. Allows for engine modifications (bigger carbs, superchargers, etc) without a hole through the hood. Also helps evacuate heat from the engine bay. Functional mod.

But yeah, if there isn't something special tucked under there, gross.

"knockoff" wheels breaking is one of the biggest internet rumors since peope started circulating creepy pastas as real. I've seen plenty of cars with Rotas at autocross and at the track. Seen 0 break. However I did see two different cars break their TE37s.

If I had the money to actually do a quality job (and there was no stigma attached) I would seriously consider converting my FG2 Civic Si to scissor doors. I don't particularly care how they look, but my coupe actually has some rather long doors, which makes ingress and egress a bit of a bitch when the only parking spots available are between two massive trucks. Not having to swing my door out 1m+ would be rather nice, really.
